The Choir of the National Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mellieha, under the direction of Geoffrey Thomas, is holding its annual Christmas concert. Taking place at 19:30. DECEMBER 18 Christmas Concert 2015 Annual concert by the Collegium Musicum Choir 2015 at St John's Co-Cathedral, Valletta at 19:30. Featuring soloists Connie Francis Zerafa, Francesca Cassar, Graziella Debattista, Frans Mangion, Louis Cassar and Joseph Lia. Under the direction of Dion Buhagiar. The programme will feature works by Handel, Bach, Buhagiar, Rutter and traditional and international carols. DECEMBER 18, 20; 25-27 Live Crib in Lija Soċjeta' Sant'Andrija is organising its annual live crib in its club's courtyard at 39, St Andrew Street, Lija. The live crib will be open between 17:30 and 20:30. The crib will feature children and adults in costume representing traditional biblical scenes in Bethlehem. A donation of €1 per adult is welcomed. More info: tel: 2143 5499 – www.santandrijalija.com. UNTIL JANUARY 3 Bethlehem f'Għajnsielem Bethlehem f'Għajnsielem is an animated nativity village spread on 20,000sqm of land at Għajnsielem, Gozo. Bethlehem f'Għajnsielem will also include re-enactments of the 'trip' from Nazareth to Bethlehem of Joseph and Mary as well as the Adoration of the Magi on the Epiphany (first Sunday after New Year's day) when the three Wise Men will depart on horseback from Malta to Cirkewwa terminal where they will board a ferry in mid-afternoon before making the triumphal entrance to the nativity village. UNTIL JANUARY 27 Cribs Exhibition The St Joseph the Worker Exhibitions Society of Birkirkara will be organizing for the 13th consecutive year, the Annual Exhibition of Cribs. In this exhibition one can find numerous cribs of every size and shape, as well as Baby Jesus statuettes, paintings and other items related to Christmas. Most of the items are handmade exhibits produced by the exhibitors themselves. Some of the exhibits will be shown publicly for the first time. The exhibition will be held at the Parish Centre of St Joseph the Worker, no 71, Bwieraq Street, Birkirkara. Opening hours: December 6 till December 27, 09:00 to 12:00 and 16:00 to 20:00. Operational Programme I – Cohesion Policy 2014-2020 Fostering a competitive and sustainable economy to meet our challenges PRE-ANNOUNCEMENT - CALL III European Regional Development Fund and Cohesion Fund The Managing Authority for Cohesion Policy 2014-2020 in Malta, the Planning and Priorities Coordination Department (PPCD) within the Ministry or European Affairs and Implementation of the Electoral Manifesto (MEAIM), would like to announce that it will shortly be launching a call for project proposals to be undertaken by Ministries, Government Departments, Central Government Authorities and the Public Sector Companies under the following Priority Axes and Investment Priorities: Priority Axis 4 – 'Shifting towards a low-carbon economy' Investment Priority (IP) 4c - Supporting energy efficiency, smart energy management and renewable energy use in public infrastructure, including in public buildings, and in the housing sector. Priority Axis 7 – 'Shifting towards a more low-carbon transport sector' Investment Priority (IP) 7c - Developing and improving environmentally-friendly (including low noise) and low-carbon transport systems, including inland waterways and maritime transport, ports, multimodal links and airport infrastructure, in order to promote sustainable regional and local mobility. Priority Axis 10 – 'Investing in a more environmentally-friendly society' Investment Priority (IP) 6i - Investing in the waste sector to meet the requirements of the Union's environmental acquis and to address needs, identified by the Member States, for investment that goes beyond those requirements. Investment Priority (IP) 6ii - Investing in the water sector to meet the requirements of the Union's environmental acquis and to address needs, identified by the Member States, for investment that goes beyond those requirements. Priority Axis 11 – 'Investing in Ten-T infrastructure' Investment Priority (IP) 7i - Supporting a multimodal Single European Transport Area by investing in the TEN-T. Note: Only investments submitted by Public Administration and targeting the maritime transport infrastructure will be considered for the purpose of this call. The actual launch of the call, together with details of the related Information Session, will be published in the coming weeks and will be available on our webpage: www.eufunds.gov.mt. The related Application Form and relevant documentation (including the list of eligible actions) will be made available through the same link once the call is launched.
