Qormi went ahead on the 18th minute when off a freekick by Clif- ford Gauci, Noah Olawole Ojuola's header beat goalkeeper Kris Calleja. Qormi were in total command of the match and they doubled their lead on the 30th minute. Off a free- kick by Everson Vella, Djamel Lee- flang headed the ball towards Alex Nilsson who then beat St Andrews goalkeeper to make the score 2-0. Qormi continued to press in the second half and the third goal ar- rived on the 62nd minute. Clifford Gauci had his shot partially saved by goalkeeper Kris Calleja, but off the rebound Djamel Romano Leefland Boerstra made no mistake to make the score 3-0. Qormi made sure they collected all three points when Ryan Micallef scored from close range after receiv- ing a perfect cross from Emerson Vella on the 78th minute. ST. On the 20th minute, Sliema Wan- derers thought they had taken the lead when Michael Mifsud shot the ball past goalkeeper Yenz Cini, but it was ruled as offside by the referee. On the 27th minute, Mosta man- aged to take the lead. Gustavo De Paulo headed the ball past Cini from a perfect cross by Ian Zammit to give Mosta the lead. Sliema continued to press for the equaliser and it finally ar- rived on the 55th minute. Mos- ta's defence failed to clear the ball after a cross by Clifford Gatt Baldacchino and Mark Scerri was there to take advantage of their error to beat goalkeeper Yenz Cini to make the score 1-1. Both sides continued to create good chances in front of goal, but they had to settle for a point each at the end of the match.
