48 Events maltatoday, SUNDAY, 10 APRIL 2016 New MCA measures on access of bills for Internet, TV and telephony services NEW measures aimed at fa- cilitating access to bills in relation to Internet, TV ser- vices, fixed and mobile ser- vices have been introduced by means of a Decision pub- lished by the Malta Commu- nications Authority (MCA). Post-paid subscribers will be able to receive their bills in a medium that they can access, free of charge. The majority of service pro- viders offer their post-paid subscribers e-billing services, that is, the facility to access their bills electronically, free of charge. The MCA appre- ciates that such a facility is beneficial from a cost and an environmental perspec- tive, however it does not ac- commodate those post-paid subscribers that do not have an Internet subscription, and would therefore, in many in- stances, incur a charge to re- ceive their bills in hard copy format. This decision, which follows a public consultation, will amongst other things, pro- vide the possibility to such subscribers to receive their 'standard bills' in hard copy format, free of charge. With regard to telephony services, post-paid subscrib- ers who do not have an In- ternet subscription can also obtain a detailed itemised bill in hard copy format, free of charge. Those on a pre-paid subscription may also request to view a detailed telephony usage report, free of charge. The full decision, which will come into force on 1 July 2016, can be downloaded from the MCA's website – w w w.mca. org.mt. Any enquiries on the subject may be sent by email at customercare@mca.org.mt or by phone on 2133 6840. Frank Salt at CEO Clubs' networking events in Dubai IT is not every day that a Maltese company gets invited to present its company and portfolio whilst promoting Malta at an interna- tional network event for some of the world's highest profile CEOs. This is exactly what Frank Salt Real Estate was invited to do earlier this month in Dubai, where the company was present for a number of events organised by this prestigious club, including The CEO Clubs An- nual Golf Tour- nament and the Dubai In- ternational Boat Show. The Dubai road- show was attended to by Frank Salt Real Estate company direc- tor Douglas Salt, who had the opportunity to meet a wide spectrum of Emirates and foreign CEOs, businessmen and senior executives based in Dubai and also from the sub-continent. The events carried extensive coverage in several international magazines and online media. The meetings and networking sessions aimed at highlighting what Malta has to offer in terms of residency options, financial incentives, property offerings and investments. 'We believe greatly in the po- tential of Malta and its resi- dency programmes as a source of attracting foreign investment to Malta' said Douglas Salt. 'From the feedback we received through, we know that Malta is to date a relatively unknown investment destination in the Emirates, yet it has much to offer. As such more visibil- ity for Malta and what it has to offer, ideally gen- erated by the local au- thorities, is required. Frank Salt Real Es- tate is a veteran in organising its own roadshows and semi- nars, with more than ten activities held over the last six months in the UK, Scandinavia and South Africa. "Malta is enjoying excellent econ- omy growth and a a healthy property investment market," stated Douglas Salt. "Coupled with our company's expertise in assisting foreign nationals buying or renting a property in Malta, and the broad property selection on our books, we are very well positioned to develop new markets. Their professionalism and direction were invaluable to the organizing teams in each loca- tion.
